Alpha House
The ALPHA House Residential Program offers a safe and educational environment for new mothers and their babies in Pinellas County, Florida. They sought to modernize their brand while maintaining key elements like feminine colors and butterflies. The updated packaging includes a custom packet of Milkweed seeds and a small pot, reflecting the brand's butterfly imagery. This project was created in collaboration with graphic designer, Savannah Booth.
We chose delicate, thin fonts for a feminine feel. The logo features the letter “A” from the Big Bang font, rotated to look like butterfly wings. We created various sizes and layouts for social media, letterhead, and packaging. To stay consistent with previous branding, we kept the color pink and added green and brown for contrast. The icons represent ALPHA House’s impact on the community.
The ALPHA house had a lot of important information that needed to be shared clearly and in a way that kept people engaged, without making it overwhelming. In the rough draft, we decided to use different colors and shapes to break up the heavy text. This made it easier to read and helped highlight the main points, keeping readers interested throughout. Adding these visual touches made everything feel more accessible and easier to understand. The only feedback we received was to include a stock image of a baby.
We designed a thank you box for our donors, targeting women around the age of 50. This box includes a "Grow Your Own Butterfly" kit, which contains milkweed seeds, a food source for Monarch butterflies. This gift aligns with our organization's mission of nurturing life. The box features floral patterns and opens like double doors, symbolizing the welcoming environment of the ALPHA House.
