The Sapphic Sun

I am a marketing and graphic designer for The Sapphic Sun, a newspaper. My work involves a variety of tasks, including designing social media campaigns for Instagram, creating website layouts for mobile menus on their new site, developing 3D models of a stamp for packaging, and designing a new business card. All Illustrations done by Victoria.

My first task was to update The Sapphic Sun business card to make it less cluttered and more polished. I worked within the brand guidelines to create an elegant design that captures the classic newspaper feel while incorporating a modern touch.

Many Instagram posts were created on the same day they were published. I frequently communicated with the head illustrator to design elements that would enhance the layout. Additionally, I developed 52 color options for the Instagram highlight covers, all while incorporating Victoria's star illustration.

The newspaper aims to expand its branding by incorporating it into the packaging used for shipping. One of my ideas is to create a custom stamp that can be 3D printed to reduce costs. I designed the handle and casing for the logo using Blender, and the stamp will be printed with a rubber filament.
